We understand that surrendering a dog is never an easy decision. If you need help rehoming your Australian Shepherd or Aussie mix, please visit our dedicated Rehoming Page to submit an application; this is the only way our Re-Homing Team can assist you.
Please note the following before applying:

We cannot accept dogs with a history of aggression or unprovoked biting

Aussies are a herding breed. Nipping at heels, nudging, and herding behavior is normal and is NOT considered a bite history. A bite history means your dog has broken skin on a human being; adult, child, or visitor in an unprovoked or fear-based incident.

Your dog must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccines to be considered for a courtesy post

If no foster is currently available, our Owner Surrender Team can recommend your dog for a courtesy listing on our adoption platforms simply provide a bio, several photos, and your location
